Bearings for aerospace technology
Bearings for engine and turbine assemblies of aircraft and space technology, turbopump units and liquid-propellant rocket engines.
UkrTehAvia manufactures bearings for the engine and turbine assemblies of space technology, turbopump units and liquid-propellant rocket engines.
The products have successfully passed testing and have been incorporated into the production technical documentation of customers — including modern aerospace enterprises that partner with leading global companies in the sector.
Until 2022, products from this line were also supplied for engine and gas-turbine assemblies for export, where they successfully passed operational testing.
These products belong to a category of exceptionally complex items and impose extremely high requirements on design, materials and manufacturing technology. Bearings intended for use in space technology operate under extreme conditions: at rotational speeds reaching several tens of thousands of revolutions per minute, and across a wide temperature range — from +600 °C in high-temperature zones to –180 °C in open-space conditions. Such operating regimes demand exceptional manufacturing precision, high structural strength and the use of special materials able to retain their properties under extreme temperatures and loads.
A distinctive feature of these bearings is the complex cage structure, made up of several elements manufactured from different materials, including high-strength stainless steels and special PTFE-based polymer compounds. This design solution ensures stable bearing operation at high rotational speeds, reduces friction and increases product service life.
To deliver the project, UkrTehAvia's specialists developed a complete set of design documentation, mastered new process routes and implemented additional production operations required to manufacture items meeting the requirements of the space industry. All bearings successfully passed a full testing programme, confirming compliance with established technical requirements and performance characteristics. The company continues to develop this line and is preparing to launch production of several further types of high-precision bearings for space-technology equipment.
